3. Open the image settings panel on the right-hand sidebar

4. Find the Alt Text field

5. Paste in your alt text that FastaSEO wrote for you

What's the issue

FastaSEO found images where the alt text looks like a file name rather than a real description. This often happens when an image is uploaded and the file name gets automatically copied into the alt text field. File name style alt text gives Google and AI bots no information about what the image actually shows.

Why it matters

  • Alt text is how Google and AI bots understand what your images show. A file name like DSC_4832.jpg or image-1 tells them nothing — it's the same as having no alt text at all. A real description like "Female brand photographer adjusting studio lighting" gives search engines meaningful context and helps your images appear in relevant searches.

What good looks like

A short, natural description of what is actually in the image. For example: "Bride holding a bouquet of white roses in a garden" or "Brand photographer working at a wooden desk with a laptop". Not: DSC_4832.jpg, photo-1, or image.

How long this takes

Each image takes less than a minute to update.
