Quick answer

FastaSEO has identified images over 3000px. Download the optimised version FastaSEO prepared, then re-upload it into Showit to replace the original.

How to fix it in Showit

1. FastaSEO will identify which images are over 3000px and prepare resized versions for you

2. Download the optimised version from FastaSEO

3. In Showit, click on the image

4. Open the right-hand sidebar and click Image

5. Select Replace Image and upload the optimised version

6. Save and publish your changes

What's the issue

FastaSEO found images where the longest side exceeds 3000px. Most screens don't need images this large — serving them at full size adds unnecessary weight to your page and slows down load time for every visitor.

Why it matters

  • Large images are one of the most common causes of slow websites. An image at 5000px wide looks identical on screen to one at 2400px — but the file size can be significantly larger. Keeping images within a sensible maximum size means your pages load faster for visitors and score better on performance tests.

What good looks like

Images resized to 3000px or fewer on the longest side before uploading. For most images displayed on a standard page, 2400px is plenty.

How long this takes

Each image takes a few minutes to resize and re-upload.
