Note
This issue has two variants — URLs that are slightly long (5–6 words) and URLs that are very long (7 or more words). The fix is the same either way — shorten the page name to the core descriptive words only.
What's the issue
FastaSEO found a page where the URL slug has more than 4 words. Long URLs are harder to read, can look messy when shared, and often contain filler words that add length without adding meaning.
Why it matters
- Your URL helps search engines and AI bots understand what the page is about. A short, descriptive URL communicates the page topic clearly and looks cleaner when shared in emails, on social media, or in search results. Very long URLs can appear spammy and are harder for people to read and remember. Shorter URLs generally perform better and give a better first impression.
What good looks like
A URL with 4 words or fewer that clearly describes the page. For example: /showit-seo-services is great. /the-best-showit-website-seo-services-for-creative-business-owners is too long and can look spammy.
How long this takes
Renaming a page takes less than a minute.
