How to set your page types for schema in FastaSEO
Quick answer
In FastaSEO, click Schema Markup in the left menu and select all the page types your website has. This tells FastaSEO what schema to look for on each page.
How to fix it in Showit
1. In FastaSEO, click Schema Markup in the left menu
2. Select all the page types that your website has — for example Homepage, About, Services, Contact, FAQ
3. FastaSEO will use your selections to determine which schema markup each page needs
4. Follow the schema recommendations to add the right code to each page in Showit or via Google Tag Manager
5. Run a fresh scan in FastaSEO to confirm your page types are now detected
What's the issue
FastaSEO checks each page for schema markup, but it needs to know what kind of page it's looking at before it can assess whether the correct schema is present. Once you select your page types in the Schema Markup tab, FastaSEO can compare what's on your pages against what should be there.
Why it matters
- Schema markup helps Google and AI tools understand what your pages are about — and different page types need different schema. Your homepage needs Organisation schema. Your contact page needs LocalBusiness schema. Your FAQ page needs FAQPage schema. FastaSEO can only check whether the right schema is present once it knows what type of page it's evaluating. Setting your page types is the first step to getting your schema right.
What good looks like
All pages have a page type selected in FastaSEO. Each page has the correct schema markup added and confirmed by a fresh scan.
How long this takes
Selecting your page types in FastaSEO takes under two minutes.
