What's the issue

A broken link — also known as a 404 error — happens when a link leads to a page that does not exist or a destination that was never properly set up. A very common Showit mistake is starting a click action but never finishing it. For example, someone clicks Click Actions, chooses a type like Page, but never fully connects the destination. Visually everything looks correct — but the link itself is incomplete. Because FastaSEO scans your site similarly to how bots read it, it can detect these unfinished links.

Why it matters

• Bots rely heavily on links to understand your website structure, page relationships, navigation pathways, and important content. A clean website with working links is easier for both Google and AI systems to crawl and understand. Broken links also create a poor experience for visitors — they hit a dead end and often leave. Fixing broken links improves trust, usability, and how search engines see your site.

What good looks like

Every link on your site leads to a working destination. Buttons, navigation links, text links, image links, and click actions all have a correctly set destination. No link leads to a missing page or has an incomplete click action.
