I rescanned a page in FastaSEO but nothing changed — what do I do?
Quick answer
FastaSEO reads from your live published site. If you've made changes in Showit but haven't published yet, the scan won't see them. Publish your Showit site, wait for it to finish, then rescan.
How to fix it in Showit
1. Go back to Showit and click the Publish button
2. Wait for Showit to finish publishing — you'll see a confirmation when it's done. Don't rescan until publishing is complete
3. Once your site is fully published, go back to FastaSEO and rescan the page
4. Your fixes should now be detected and the issues marked as resolved
What's the issue
FastaSEO scans your live published website — not the version you're working on inside the Showit editor. Any changes you make in Showit only go live once you click Publish. Until then, your live site still shows the old version, and FastaSEO will continue to flag the same issues.
Why it matters
- It's easy to make a fix in Showit and then jump straight back to FastaSEO to check — but if you haven't published, FastaSEO is still reading the old version of your site. Always publish in Showit and wait for the publish to complete before rescanning. This is the most common reason a rescan appears to do nothing.
What good looks like
Changes are published in Showit before rescanning. FastaSEO confirms the fix is detected after a fresh scan on the updated live site.
How long this takes
Publishing in Showit takes around 1–2 minutes. Once published, a rescan in FastaSEO takes under a minute.
