How to edit your site settings in FastaSEO
Quick answer
Your site settings are on the right hand side of your dashboard, under Your Progress. Update your business name, description, niche, and location there.
How to fix it in Showit
1. Open your site in FastaSEO and go to the dashboard
2. Look for the site settings panel on the right hand side of the screen, under Your Progress
3. Click to edit your settings — you'll see the following fields:
4. Business name — your business or brand name, for example Creative SEO Coach
5. Business description — a short description of what you do, for example Showit SEO Services
6. Niche or ideal client (optional) — who you work with or the niche you serve, for example Showit Users
7. Location — select Online only if you work with clients anywhere, or I serve a specific location if your business is location-based. If you select a specific location, enter your city, region, or country
8. Save your changes when done
9. Run a fresh scan in FastaSEO so your updated settings are applied to your results
What's the issue
When you first add your site to FastaSEO you'll be prompted to fill in your site settings. You can update these at any time from your dashboard. The information you provide helps FastaSEO understand your business and tailor its checks accordingly.
Why it matters
- FastaSEO uses your business name and description to check things like whether your target keyword appears in the right places across your site. Your location setting helps FastaSEO assess whether local SEO signals like your city or region are present where they should be. Keeping your settings accurate means the recommendations you receive are specific to your business — not generic advice.
What good looks like
Business name, description, and location are all filled in accurately. Your niche or ideal client is added if relevant. Settings are kept up to date if your business details change.
How long this takes
Updating your site settings takes around two to three minutes.
